Steps singer leads cast of Jack and the Beanstalk at Watersmeet, Rickmansworth
Steps star Lee Latchford-Evans is leading the cast of what promises to be a pantomime full magic, laughter and fun in Rickmansworth this coming festive season.
Lee and the cast of Jack and The Beanstalk gathered at Watersmeet Theatre as rehearsals continued last week ahead of the production’s opening in December.
The cast includes Britain’s Got Talent’s Bunny Galore who is returning to Watersmeet as Dame Trott. Alongside Lee and Bunny are record-breaker Jay Rawlings, A Touch of Frost’s John Lyons, master magician Nicholas Lee, singer-actress Wendy Carr, and musician-actress Rachel O'Hare.
The pantomime schedule includes a Boxing Day themed ‘green’ show, a relaxed performance and a signed performance.
The production tells the timeless tale of the eponymous Jack and his daring journey to Cloudland, slaying giants and saving his village. This professional pantomime, produced by Paul Holman Associates Ltd, promises stunning performances, enchanting sets, and captivating music, making it a must-see show this festive season.
Watersmeet – which is owned and operated by Three Rivers District Council – opened in May 1975, and 2025 marks its 50th anniversary.
Cllr Chris Lloyd, the council’s Lead Member for Leisure, said: "I am delighted to see such an outstanding production come to life in our community. With an incredibly talented cast and a show of this calibre, it promises to be a truly memorable experience for everyone.
“This is a shining example of the high-quality entertainment we strive to offer year-round at Watersmeet. I am looking forward to going."
