Please report any of the following problems to Hertfordshire County Council:
- problems with roads and cycle paths (e.g. potholes)
- road obstructions (e.g. fallen trees, debris)
- blocked drains
- hazards on pavements
Gritting
Hertfordshire County Council is responsible for keeping roads clear of ice and snow in winter. View gritting updates and gritting routes.
Grass verges on highways
Hertfordshire County Council is responsible for maintaining grass verges and vision splays on highways.
Grass verges are cut multiple times a year to keep the roads and pavements clear and ensure good visibility. The planned schedule may be delayed in cases of wet weather.
To report an overgrown hedge or grass, contact Hertfordshire County Council.
Grass cutting in housing areas
We maintain a schedule for grass cutting for some housing areas, Batchworth Heath and a small number of amenity verges. If you notice a problem with overgrown grass in these areas, please contact our Environmental Services Team at enquiries@threerivers.gov.uk.
