Road closures for parades and street parties

Following changes to Police resource to manage temporary event road closures, the District Council is no longer able to approve these requests through the Police Town Clauses Act 1847.

To request a temporary road closure to allow a parade or procession to pass through or to allow a street party you will need to apply to Hertfordshire County Council:

Close a road for a street party or special event | Hertfordshire County Council

Close a road for Remembrance Day parades | Hertfordshire County Council
