Suspensions

We can grant a parking suspension if you need to reserve a bay to conduct essential works, such as highway maintenance or utilities works. Bays may also be reserved for funerals, community events or to keep a skip outside your home in a permit bay. Reserved parking bays are shown by a yellow sign attached to the nearest signpost.

Unauthorised vehicles that park in a suspended area may result in a Penalty Charge Notice.

You need to apply for a parking suspension at least 10 days in advance of the suspension or five days in advance if you are renewing an existing suspension. If your suspension is authorised, you will receive a confirmation email within three days of your application outlining the full amount due and instructions on how to pay.

The fee to suspend parking restrictions is £33 per day.
