Not sure if Back to Netball is for you?
Catherine and Amy, two regulars from the Chorleywood Back to Netball group share their experiences.
Catherine says: “I work in an office so had been looking for something that I could do in the evenings to get a bit of exercise and keep fit and the gym isn’t for me. I saw an advert for Back to Netball and thought it sounded like fun so went along. The first session was great and everyone was so welcoming. It didn’t matter that I had forgotten most of the rules! There’s a big mix of abilities and ages and our coach Val is lovely. Since going to netball I’ve made so many new friends and look forward to meeting up with everybody each week.”
Amy says: “I started Back to Netball almost four years ago now. I hadn't been in my job long and while I chatted to people round the office I hadn't made many friends. Then up popped an email asking people if they would be interested in joining back to netball and it seemed like a good way to make a new friend or two and a great way to get active. I enjoyed sport at school but never really excelled at netball. There was always someone better than me. Each week is always good fun and people can take things at their pace. It’s a great way to get fit, learn new skills and meet new people.”
Whether it is about rediscovering sporting abilities you forgot you had or about getting active again, these sessions cater for all abilities. A qualified coach will support you in developing your skills and confidence for netball.
