Petitions

Petitions are an important way to raise an issue you want us to act on. They form part of our ongoing commitment to listening to and acting on the views of the public.

Any member of the public can ask to present a petition signed by at least 25 residents other than Members of the Council. The petition must be relevant to the council’s functions, Three Rivers District or local residents. For further information about petitions, see Part 4 of our Constitution.

Anyone who lives, works or studies in Three Rivers District can submit or sign a petition. For advice on what to include in your petition, see the guidance note (PDF, 39 KB)

After we receive submission of your petition, we will send an acknowledgement within 10 working days.
