See what wildflowers you can find at Three Rivers meadows
See what wildflowers you can discover in the district’s beautiful meadows and grasslands this summer – that’s the message from Cllr Jon Tankard, Lead Member for Environmental Services, Climate Change and Sustainability.
He said: “We are so lucky to have so many wonderful meadows and large open spaces for us to explore and discover the local wildlife and plants that work in harmony to contribute so much to our local ecosystem.
“There are so many wildflowers in our district, such as Lady’s Bedstraw, Pyramidal Orchid, St Johns Wort, and so much more to discover.
“The council has already undertaken amazing work, such as conservation grazing, to create and enhance our wonderful green spaces to benefit biodiversity and our residents’ wellbeing. This is evident from the diversity of wildflowers that can be found in our meadows.
“Now that the school summer holidays have arrived, why don’t you and the family go out on your own adventure in the district and see what wildflowers you can spot.”
