Three Rivers District Council's Christmas opening times and service information
Three Rivers District Council's phone lines and the visitor centre at Three Rivers House in Rickmansworth will have altered operating hours over the Christmas and New Year period.
The council’s online services will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week as usual.

Christmas waste collection arrangements
No collections will take place on Monday 25 and Tuesday 26 December but x2 extra bags of refuse will be collected on Tuesday 2 and Wednesday 3 January.
Collections on Wednesday 27, Thursday 28 & Friday 29 December will take place on the normal collection day and no excess will be taken on these dates.
Collections due on 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 January 2024 will take place one day later
No brown bins will be collected between 18 December 2023 and 6 January 2024.

Garden waste collections
No garden waste (brown bins) will be collected between 18 December and 6 January. Garden waste collections will start again week commencing 8 January 2024.
Real Christmas trees can be left out and will be taken on a WEEK B (all decorations must be removed).
Clinical collections
There will be no domestic sharps collections the week of 27-29 December.
Trade clinical collections & domestic orange sack collections due to be made one day later than usual e.g. Tuesday’s collection will be made on Wednesday 27, Wednesday’s on Thursday 28 and Thursday’s on Friday 29. Customers will either receive an email or flyer.
Trade waste / recycling
We will endeavour to collect between Christmas and New Year. Food premises are being prioritised. Any premises not collected will have excess waste taken on their next scheduled collection.
Bulky waste (Special) collections
There will be no collections from week commencing 18 December up to 29 December. Collections will resume week commencing 1st January.
Recycling
Extra recycling can be left out in carrier bags over the Christmas / New Year Period.

From Monday 8 January, collections will return to normal collection days. Please check the calendar online for further bank holiday and holiday period changes for 2024.
