Six Inches of Soil –features Anna Jackson, a Lincolnshire 11th generation arable and sheep farmer; Adrienne Gordon, a Cambridgeshire small-scale vegetable farmer; and Ben Thomas, who rears pasture fed beef cattle in Cornwall. As the trio strive to adopt regenerative practices and create viable businesses, they meet seasoned mentors who help them on their journey. They’re joined by other experts providing wisdom and solutions from a growing movement of people who are dedicated to changing the trajectory for food, farming and the planet.

Cllr Jon Tankard, Lead Member for Sustainability and Climate Change, said: “We’re excited to host this event to shine a light on the work being done by British farmers to improve soil health, inspire change, and share information on our food systems. Healthy soil plays a crucial role in the climate and nature emergency, acting as a carbon sink, helping to mitigate climate change, boosts crop yields, improves biodiversity, and reduces flood risk. We can’t wait to see the ideas and thoughts that emerge from the meaningful discussions with the panel of experts that will follow the screening. By sharing this inspiring story we hope this will accelerate soil health improvements in our district.”
