Pupils set to put on a stellar show at next Seniors' Forum
Pupils from Rickmansworth School are set to dazzle members of the Seniors’ Forum as another event is planned with guest speakers, tea, and biscuits.
The event will showcase live music performed by pupils from the local school, a guest speaker from Lowlands Rescue Service and a talk on the colourful residents of Leavesden Hospital by Emma Frost. There will also be a fun music quiz with prizes and refreshments will be served.
Those attending will be invited to learn how to use the council’s new digital platforms and will have the opportunity to listen to a talk by representatives of Three Rivers District Council offering help and guidance on how to use its digital services.
The Seniors’ Forum – previously known as the Pensioners’ Forum – was organised by Councillor Keith Martin, lead member for resources, who has arranged July’s forum and will be there welcoming attendees.
He said: “July’s forum is a great way for our senior residents to gather together and enjoy a free, convivial afternoon – combining entertainment, information and the chance to socialise with others.
“We have an afternoon full of entertainment – with some tea and biscuits! It will be lovely to see lots of people attend the forum and find the talks engaging and informative as well as enjoy the entertainment we have planned.
“This is an open invitation to all Three Rivers residents of retirement age to come along and enjoy refreshments along with some great entertainment.”
The forum takes place between 2:30pm and 4:30pm on Wednesday 12 July at Rickmansworth School, Scots Hill, WD3 3AQ. Access and parking will be available from 2:15pm.
For those travelling by public transport, there are bus stops close to the school and parking at the school is free.
