Prepared to be wowed by kicks, flips, whirlybirds and other amazing tricks at the annual Sk8 Jam at the Croxley Green Skate Park.

Skateboarders, BMX and scooter riders can wow the crowd at the free event - with the chance to win fabulous prizes kindly sponsored by Croxley Green Parish Council.

The event, which is organised by the Three Rivers District Council Leisure Team and has been running for more than a decade, will take place in Baldwins Lane from 11am to 5pm on Saturday 3 August.

You don’t have to know how to skate, scooter, or BMX. You can still enjoy the atmosphere by watching participants, listening to music, or by having a go yourself as the event will also provide free skate lessons before the event officially starts between 11am-12noon.

Charlotte Gomes, Three River District Council’s Head of Leisure and Natural Infrastructure, said: “It’s that time of year when local daredevils can show off their amazing tricks to a crowd. The event will be enjoyable even if you don’t know how to skate and hopefully, we will have beautiful weather.

“Thank you to all the sponsors for hosting the event and to Croxley Green Parish Council for sponsoring the prizes.”

The jams are friendly competitions and anyone over the age of 8 can enter and enjoy this action sport of skill, balance and nerve. The event is hosted by Three Rivers District Council and ABC Skateboarding, who will be judging the competition and handing out the prizes.

Prizes will be awarded to the winners in a range of categories and age groups. The competitions are free to enter but all under 18s must wear helmets.
