3.         BENEFIT REFORM UPDATE

(i) To receive a presentation from Gary Vaux, Head of the Money Advice Unit, Hertfordshire County Council, on the potential impact of benefit reforms on housing.

(ii) To receive a presentation from Jane Walker, Benefits Manager, Watford and Three Rivers Shared Revenues and Benefits Service on current indications of benefit cap impact and the demand on discretionary housing payments

(iii) To receive the latest figures from the Department of Work and Pensions on current uptake of universal credit, job seekers allowance, employment support allowance and income support.

(iv) To receive a presentation from Marion Seneschall, Three Rivers CAB on the current workload of the bureau in relation to benefits and housing.

(v) Discussion on the implications for local partnership working

4.         HOUSING AND PLANNING ACT UPDATE

(i) To receive a presentation from Jo Barrett, Operations Director, Thrive Homes, on the current response of Thrive Homes to the Housing and Planning Act.

(ii) To receive a presentation from Tina Barnard, Chief Executive, Watford Community Housing Trust on the impact of benefit reform on housing provision and current grants funding for new homes.

(iii) Discussion on the implications for local partnership working.

5.          DOMESTIC ABUSE CASEWORKER

To agree to allocated the remaining Performance Reward Grant revenue funding to extend the Domestic Abuse Caseworker Project for 3 years.
