Special afternoon tea will honour the service of armed forces on Armistice Day
The sacrifices and realities of war will be highlighted at a special Remembrance Day afternoon tea which is being held at this month’s Three Rivers Pensioners’ Forum.
The sacrifices and realities of war will be highlighted at a special Remembrance Day afternoon tea which is being held at this month’s Three Rivers Pensioners’ Forum.
The forum will return to Rickmansworth School and will feature guest speakers.
Event organiser, Cllr Keith Martin, said: “This is an open invitation to all Three Rivers residents of retirement age - come along and enjoy an afternoon tea and honour the incredible service and sacrifice of our brilliant armed forces on this important date.”
The short speeches will be followed by an afternoon of tea, coffee, cakes, sandwiches and live music from Rickmansworth School students.
The forum takes place between 2.30pm and 4.30pm on Friday 11 November at Rickmansworth School. Access and parking will be available from 2.15pm. Guests are therefore kindly asked not to arrive before this time.
Refreshments will be available. For those travelling by public transport there are bus stops close to the school. There will be free parking at the school. To book a place email: committeeteam@threerivers.gov.uk
