Seniors Forum honours those who served
A special Remembrance Day afternoon tea will honour the incredible service and sacrifice of the armed forces.
The realities of war will be highlighted at the Three Rivers Seniors Forum at Rickmansworth School, next month.
Event organiser, Cllr Keith Martin, said: “I invite all Three Rivers residents of retirement age to come along and enjoy an afternoon tea and honour the fantastic service and sacrifice of our brilliant armed forces on this important date.”
Some short speeches will be followed by tea, coffee, cakes and sandwiches, along with live music from Rickmansworth School students.
The event will take place between 2:30pm and 4:30pm on Friday 10 November. Access and parking will be available from 2:15pm. Guests are therefore asked not to arrive before this time and must be with a representative from the school at all times whilst on site.
For those travelling by public transport there are bus stops close to the school, and free parking will be available at the school.
