As part of works to build the railway, HS2 Ltd will be closing Chalfont Lane, Maple Cross for approximately 8 years from 8 27 November 2017 until early 2026 (date change advised by HS2 Ltd). A new public link road will be constructed between Shire Lane, Maple Cross and Hornhill Road for diverted local traffic which will open early in 2018. Until then there will be a temporary diversion in place. Access will remain open for Sunny Hill Road residents and for The Orchards site.
Additionally, over the next few months slip roads to and from the M25 will be installed, Chalfont Lane will be widened for construction traffic, and two water mains will be diverted.
HS2 Ltd contractors will start works on Monday 23 October 2017, Chalfont Lane will be closed from the 8 27 November. Normal working hours: Monday to Friday 8am-6pm, with the potential for some works taking place on Saturdays between 8am-1pm. Contractors may also be on site for one hour’s start-up and shutdown.
