Government 'recovered' Abbots Langley data centre planning appeal

The Secretary of State has confirmed that they have ‘recovered’ two data centre planning appeals including one in Abbots Langley, off Bedmond Road (TRDC planning reference 23/1068/OUT). This means an appointed Planning Inspector will not be making a decision but instead will prepare a report and a recommendation following the six-day inquiry in October 2024.  This will be forwarded to the Secretary of State who will make the final decision.
