The hub provides access to a range of service and support, including help with debt and budgeting, energy bills and employment.

Hillside Community Hub is a partnership project between Three Rivers District Council, ASCEND, Watford & Three Rivers Trust and Watford Community Housing.

Located at 4A School Mead, Abbots Langley, WD5 0LA, the hub provides access to a range of service and support, including help with debt and budgeting, energy bills and employment. You can also meet other local residents and improve your physical and mental wellbeing.

Below is a list of services available at the hub. You will need to book an appointment for most of these services by calling or emailing using the contact information provided.

ASCEND Charity UK

The ASCEND Careers Guidance Service provides information, advice and guidance, as well as a range of workshops and skill-building. Book an appointment with a guidance worker by 07849 518 447 or emailing guidance@ascend.org.uk.

Dementia support

You can speak to a dementia support worker from the Alzheimer’s Society in person every third Thursday of the month from 9am to 12pm at the Hillside Community Hub.

They can help with:

  • what to do if you are worried about your own or someone else’s memory
  •  explaining the different types of dementia
  • how to live well with dementia, cope with day-to-day challenges and prepare for the future

Citizens Advice

Herts Mind Network Community Support Service

The Herts Mind Network Community Support Service provide advice, information and holistic outreach support to people who are experiencing mental ill-health or need help with their mental wellbeing.

The Three Rivers District Council Housing Options & Advice Service runs from 9am to 12pm every last Tuesday of the month. We provide housing advice and assistance to help you to understand all the options available to you.
